The American Heart Association’s Online Heartcode ACLS allows participants to complete the bulk of the ACLS course online and then attend a skill session at a Code One Training Center. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course is designed for healthcare providers who direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient. This course results in the same certification card as the instructor-led ACLS Provider course. It is recommended for participants renewing or updating their ACLS certification. The American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course trains healthcare providers with clinical responsibilities in pediatric critical care areas on the most recent evidence based resuscitation science for cardiac and respiratory emergencies existing in infants and children. This program utilizes assessment surveys and megacode scenarios to practice team resuscitation.
This course is recommended for healthcare providers (including new grads) that plan to work in pediatric critical care patient care areas. This course reviews medication safety, use of an epinephrine autoinjector, and the specific documentation requirements for licensed childcare providers in Connecticut. Participants must have completed the full Medication Administration course prior to participating in this program. This course provides authorization of one year for injectable emergency medications.
