The Blue Nile Hats Adobe
This is a short review of all three of the recent reissues - I bought one of each.All my copies arrived with creased/bent covers and 'Peace At Last' has a heavy warp to it. I'm currently trying to get a refund on them via Transistor Music but to no avail. Has anyone else purchased via them? I'm getting a Pledge Music vibe about them.
No phone number, one initial response then radio silence.Anyway! Back to the music and items. The music is incredible, flawless, we all know this, 5 stars for the music. The new mixes are maybe a bit too bright, sparkly or 'aurally excited' for my liking - but they sound good enough. The crying shame about all of this reissue campaign is how little effort has gone in to the packaging and presentation. These are incredible albums and need the respect they deserve.Paper sleeves, no polylined.No printed inner sleeves.No inner sleeve credit sheet.No linear notes.I'm not one for over-the-top-packaging or extra tracks (or worse still, the dreaded added remixes) - but blimey, just a little TLC would have sufficed.
